In the creative world, you have definitely heard of guerilla advertising..what about guerilla knitting? Guerilla Knitting, also known as Yarn bombing, graffiti knitting, or yarnstorming. People are using the boring stuff to make into a fine masterpiece. It used to be just granny’s hobby, it became a trend now, people knit bags, scarf and all sort of wearable and usable stuff. Years passed, knitting did not die off, it is now even greater, young creatives took it as a form of art to express something, it is similar to installation art or a kind of graffiti. It catches people’s attention alright. It is unusual and different from normal graffiti, who will be mad at a soft knitted tree cosy? It is that popular that guerilla knitting is also used as some retail window art display.
