Royal Albert Hall – Music of the Divine Event
To celebrate the 70th birthday of Sri Ganapathy Sachidananda Swamiji a momentous event took place at the Royal Albert Hall in September 2012. The event hosted the world’s best Asian classical musicians. We we were asked to design, brand and promote this event to a western audience but also not forgetting the Asian roots.
What was the problem?
This great concert was all about wellbeing and calm – we had to project the traditional Indian origins but also appeal to a Western audience. In other words, how do you promote a new type of concert that is only on for one night at one of the world’s most prestigious venues?
And how did we solve it?
Opting for a hybrid look and feel between the Asian roots and Western imagery, we branded and marketed the Nada – Music of the Divine concert right from the artwork through to print, tv, a website and digital advertising. This included taking a trip to Mysore for the concert rehearsal and creating a short film. Meeting the musicians in Mysore was a real privilege and such an exciting experience – such skill in action is awe inspiring.
The Results?
We think we got the balance spot on and the results are evident through the throngs of people enjoying the evening in the photos above.
